How to Add an M4B Audiobook to Apple Books

M4B is the standard audiobook format that works natively with Apple Books. Here's how to add your M4B audiobooks to Apple Books on any Apple device.

What is M4B Format?

• Cover art and metadata

Adding M4B to Apple Books on iPhone/iPad

Method 1: Direct from Email

1. Open the email containing your M4B audiobook download link
2. Tap the download link to download the file
3. When the download completes, tap the file
4. Tap "Open in Books" or share to Apple Books
5. The audiobook will appear in your Books library under "Audiobooks"

Method 2: Using Files App

1. Download the M4B file to your device
2. Open the Files app
3. Navigate to the downloaded M4B file
4. Tap and hold the file, then select "Share"
5. Choose "Books" from the share options
